Editor Window

Terrain Textures Exporter editor window can be opened from the Main Toolbar → Window → Amazing Assets → Terrain Textures Exporter menu:

For exporting textures from terrains, drag & drop them from Hierarchy or Project windows here. Even entire folders from the Project window can be dropped here and all terrain objects from those folders will be automatically added to the conversion list.

After adding terrain to the conversion list, click on the Run button in the bottom of the window and based on the used settings textures and maps will be exported from terrains and saved in the chosen location, inside or outside of the project.

For resetting editor settings, use context menu:


  • Flip UV - Flips all exported textures UV horizontally.

  • Resolution - Sets export resolution for all textures. If set to Default, than textures resolution is read from the TerrainData. Default resolution of each map is also provided in the selected textures list:

  • Split - Sets split count horizontally and vertically for all textures. With the coordinate pivot point in the left-bottom corner.

  • File Format - Sets save format for all textures.


Exporting Tree, Grass and Detail Meshes placement maps.

In exported maps each white pixel represents exported object:

  • Prototypes - Allows choosing all or exact tree/detail prototype stored inside TerrainData:

  • Merge – If selected, then distribution data off all prefabs is stored inside one texture. Otherwise for each prefab is generated its own map.
